Jalen Hurts diagnosed with stomach infection

Eagles’ QB Jalen Hurts was sent to a Philadelphia Hospital and diagnosed with a stomach infection and told to stay at home to rest for at least two days. He tested negative for Covid-19. (Adam Schefter on Twitter )

He missed Thursday’s preseason game and the much needed game-time reps, after a sub-par performance in Week 1 of the preseason. Some reports have surfaced that the starting job for Philadelphia is still up in the air. However, Hurts flashed potential towards the end of last season, and his upside and rushing ability will likely land him the job. Especially after the lackluster performance by Joe Flacco Thursday night. Hurts should be ready to go for the Eagles next preseason matchup, Friday against the New York Jets. Philadelphia has been outscored 49-0 in the last five quarters this preseason, if that were to carryover into the regular playing from behind could ultimately help Hurts from a fantasy football aspect.
