Saquon Barkley should get reps in New England this week

Giants running back Saquon Barkley is approaching another key step in his recovery. On NFL Network, Ian Rapoport said, "I would expect for Saquon Barkley to get some sort of team reps in the joint practices against New England." Rapoport added that Barkley being ready for Week 1 "has not been ruled out," though the Giants will surely approach the situation with caution. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Barkley tore his ACL in Week 3 of the 2020 season and has not seen game action since. The Penn State product amassed 2,028 scrimmage yards and 15 touchdowns in his rookie campaign back in 2018 but has struggled to stay healthy since then, appearing in just 15 games between 2019 and 2020 combined. If healthy, Barkley can be an elite fantasy asset. He's currently listed seventh among running backs in the latest expert consensus draft rankings.
