Minnesota Vikings defense allows 410 yards in Week 1 overtime loss

by Matthew MacKay | Vikings Correspondent | Sun, Sep 12th 6:16pm EDT

The Minnesota Vikings defense gave up 410 yards and three touchdowns in a 27-24 overtime loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact:

While the Vikings' defense managed to sack Joe Burrow five times on Sunday, the secondary allowed two passing touchdowns and failed to create a turnover. The unit became stronger late into the fourth quarter but failed to stop a key fourth-down play-action pass from the Bengals, leading to Cincinnati's game-winning field goal. As a result, fantasy managers may want to avoid the Minnesota D/ST against Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals on the road in Week 2.
