James White totals 61 yards in season opener versus Miami

James White hauled in 6-of-7 targets for 49 yards and added four rushes for 12 yards in Sunday afternoon's defeat to the Dolphins.
Fantasy Impact:
White served as rookie QB Mac Jones' safety valve today, just like he did for Brady between 2015 and 2019. However, with Damien Harris racking up over 100 scrimmage yards and the new TE duo of Jonnu Smith and Hunter Henry combining for 73 yards, White may have a difficult time accumulating yardage throughout the season. On the other hand, his healthy amount of receptions could provide RB3/flex value in PPR formats. White will have a date with the Jets in Week 2.
