Darren Waller soaks up career-high 19 targets in win

by Ethan Biddle | Giants Correspondent | Tue, Sep 14th 12:29am EDT

Darren Waller was targeted an absurd 19 times on Monday night, catching 10 of them for 105 yards while also tacking on a score.

Fantasy Impact:

Waller could have easily had a much bigger game if not for a few drops and a penalty call on the offense. But still, this is exactly the type of game fantasy managers were looking for out of Waller this season. He is simply going to soak up so many targets in this offense that lacks any other clear cut receiving options. On top of that, Waller is great after the catch and has seen more and more targets in the red zone ever since his breakout campaign in 2019, only further raising his ceiling. He'll remain a top option at TE despite the tough matchup against Pittsburgh next week.
