Michael Carter effective in Week 2 and stakes claim to the starting role

by Robert Lorge | Jets Correspondent | Sun, Sep 19th 5:43pm EDT

After a sluggish Week 1 performance, Michael Carter shows signs of being the best running back for the Jets moving forward.

Fantasy Impact:

Carter received 11 carries in Week 2, which was second on the team. He was, however, the leading rusher and finished with 59 yards. He averaged a healthy 5.4 yard per carry and had a long run of 14 yards. He also received three targets and caught two of them for 29 yards. If Carter continues receiving 10–12 carries a game with 3–5 targets a week, Carter will have weekly flex appeal in PPR leagues.
