Michael Carter leads all Jets' skilled players in touches in Week 3

by Robert Lorge | Cardinals Correspondent | Sun, Sep 26th 8:52pm EDT

Michael Carter receives nine carries and catches two of three targets. He was only able to rack up 29 scrimmage yards.

Fantasy Impact:

While fantasy managers will certainly be happy with Carter leading all Jets' running backs in touches, the production was surely disappointing. It is certainly a positive sign the coaching staff has already shifted to Carter being the lead back, but until this offense can find some balance, fantasy managers are best served leaving Carter on their benches. While the overall touches were certainly a nice sight to see, it was disappointing to see fellow running back, Ty Johnson out-target Carter, five to three. If Carter and Johnson are going to split touches, it will render both of them useless for fantasy purposes, especially with the struggles this Jets offense is currently dealing with. Fantasy managers shouldn't give up hope since the last two contests were against strong defenses, but Carter cannot be put into starting lineups right now either.
