Schefter notes that Miami did their due diligence on Watson and had conversations with Houston, but eventually decided not to make a deal. Dolphins owner Stephen Ross reportedly had contingencies that needed to be met for a deal to come together. Tua Tagovailoa will remain Miami's starter for the rest of 2021. Watson rumors will likely resurface over the offseason.
