San Francisco 49ers allows 31 points to Colt McCoy and company

The San Francisco 49ers' defense allowed 31 points while picking up just two sacks in a Week 9 loss to the Arizona Cardinals at home.

Fantasy Impact:

This was a potential smash spot for the Niners' defense as they were facing a depleted Arizona squad who was missing Kyler Murray, DeAndre Hopkins, and A.J. Green. However, backup quarterback Colt McCoy and James Conner surprisingly got the job done for Arizona. Conner found the end zone three times, including a 50-yard screen pass that he took to the house as he weaved through the San Francisco defense. They could only muster a pair of sucks as McCoy got the ball out quickly, completing 22-of-26 passes for 249 yards. You'll want to keep this defense on the bench next week as they face the mighty Rams on Sunday Night Football.
