San Francisco 49ers defense and special teams dominate on Sunday

The San Francisco 49ers defense and special teams put together an excellent game on Sunday against the Rams, allowing just 10 points while picking up a pair of sacks and interceptions while adding a touchdown.

Fantasy Impact:

This was a dominant, albeit surprising, performance by the San Francisco defense. They sacked Rams quarterback Matt Stafford twice and also intercepted him two times in the blowout win. Los Angeles tight end Tyler Higbee had a pass bounce off his hands and into Jimmie Ward's arms late in the first quarter. Ward was able to run it back for a pick-six and give San Francisco an early 14-0 lead. This was a solid bounce-back performance from the Niners who were embarrassed at home last week against the Cardinals who were missing a ton of starters, including Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins. They're easily a top-five play next week against the lowly Jaguars on the road.
