Tevin Coleman showcases stranglehold on the Jets' backfield in Week 13 loss

by Robert Lorge | Jets Correspondent | Sun, Dec 5th 8:29pm EST

Tevin Coleman received 11 carries, which was 10 more than any other Jets' running back. He finished with 58 scoreless yards. He also received four targets and caught three of them for 19 yards.

Fantasy Impact:

Following the IR announcement for rookie, Michael Carter, many expected Ty Johnson to become the lead back, but that hasn't happened. In Week 13, Coleman was also highly involved in the passing game. The utilization he saw this week was a positive step for Coleman's fantasy prospects. He will most likely be relegated to a backup role once Carter returns, but until then, fantasy managers can treat Coleman as an RB3/4 who likely needs a touchdown to finish with a good fantasy performance.
