Courtland Sutton (illness) active for Week 17

by Andersen Pickard | Broncos Correspondent | Sun, Jan 2nd 2:41pm EST

Despite dealing with an illness, Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton is active for Sunday’s game versus the Chargers. He had been listed as questionable, and head coach Vic Fangio even mentioned that the 26-year-old could wind up on the COVID-19 reserve list. (Ryan O'Halloran on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

With fellow wideouts Jerry Jeudy and Tim Patrick landing on the COVID list, it would have made sense for Sutton to join them. However, he was cleared to travel with the team on Saturday morning and is now active just 24 hours later. Sutton, who will catch passes from Drew Lock this week, has totaled 54 receptions, 703 yards, and two touchdowns through 15 games. Despite the expanded role, the fourth-year wideout still ranks as a low-end WR4 at best.
