Darren Waller returns to lineup and leads team in targets

by Ethan Biddle | Giants Correspondent | Mon, Jan 10th 5:06pm EST

Darren Waller saw nine targets on Sunday night, but unfortunately only hauled in two of them for a total of 22 yards.

Fantasy Impact:

Waller had missed the previous five games due to injury and COVID so simply seeing him return was nice to see. Although still this sour performance does put a bow on what was otherwise a very disappointing season for the star TE. After a remarkable Week 1 where he saw 19 targets, Waller only reached double-digits again one time, while also only finding the endzone twice. Still, his nine targets in Sunday's contest show that he is still a huge part of the Raiders offense and shouldn't fall too low on draft boards next Fall. A strong playoff performance against the Bengals next week would also help his case as a top tight end next season.
