ESPN's Adam Schefter announced on Friday that the New York Giants are expected to hire Joe Schoen as their new GM and are now just finalizing a contract with the former Buffalo Bills assistant GM. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Schoen is the first of likely many changes for the Giants this off-season, as the team aims to retool their roster amid a six-year playoff drought. Schoen worked as a scouting director in Miami prior to his stint in Buffalo, and has proven his ability to find quality players through the draft, an area the Giants have struggled with over recent years. With two top-10 picks in the upcoming draft, the Giants obviously desired Schoen's insight with college players over the skills of other candidates. With that being said, the introduction of Schoen could also spell the end for many players currently on the roster, as the Giants may attempt a complete overhaul of their team moving forward.
