Mac Jones is improving his ability to accurately throw deep balls, as evidenced by delivering three downfield, tight-window throws in the final practice of minicamp. (Mike Reiss on ESPN)
Fantasy Impact:
In his rookie year, Jones' intended air yards per pass attempt was only 8.0, so improving his accuracy downfield is promising for those who roster him. In passes of at least 20 yards, he overthrew or underthrew his receiver 41% of the time and ranked 26th in completion percentage above expectation at -4.5%. His current ADP is 148, and he is the 21st QB off the board.
