Terry McLaurin not likely to be traded despite stalled contract negotiation

Washington Commanders head coach Ron Rivera told reporters that the team will not be trading the star WR and will continue to work toward getting a deal done. (JP Finlay on twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

McLaurin has already sat out of mandatory minicamp due to displeasure with how contract negotiations have gone, but it appears the rumors that he could be traded may have been temporarily quelled due to Ron Rivera's comments. This will not affect the teams star WR's ADP for upcoming fantasy drafts as he will remain a fantasy stud no matter where he plays, and despite the comments from the Commanders HC fantasy managers should still be aware that a trade is a possibility as anything can happen when a player sits out in the NFL. With the WR market having exploded this offseason with the signings of Tyreek Hill and Davante Adams to new teams on big deals it is likely that McLaurin is using this as a template to demand what he believes he is owed which could lead to contract negotiations being stalled out throughout the season.
