Eno Benjamin the early favorite for backup RB job

Josh Weinfuss of ESPN writes that Arizona Cardinals running back Eno Benjamin has taken advantage of his opportunity to compete in camp this offseason. (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

Benjamin has stated that "he feels like it has taken longer to see the field than he expected," but he's now catching the attention of head coach Kliff Kingsbury as the Cardinals search for a new backup running back. The vacancy in the backfield formed when Chase Edmonds signed with the Dolphins, leaving James Conner as Arizona's clear-cut starter. Conner was the RB5 in PPR last season, and even though he's projected for another big year, the Cardinals need someone who can offer fresh legs and production in the passing game. Benjamin provides just that, and it's not unreasonable to assume that he could provide occasional fantasy value in 2022.
