Derek Stingley expected to be ready Week 1

Houston Texans first-round rookie CB Derek Stingley is expected to be ready for the team's Week 1 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. (D.J. Bien-Aime, ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

Stingley dealt with various injury issues in college that have carried over to his start in the NFL. The LSU product has not yet participated in team drills as he recovers from last season's Lisfranc injury, but he has taken part in other drills. Head coach Lovie Smith said the team is trying to ease Stingley back into it, but WR Brandin Cooks has already sung his praises even in limited scope. Stingley will be a big part in turning around a Texans defense that sneakily finished the 2021 season in the top eight in interceptions.
