James Washington injures right leg during training camp

by Andersen Pickard | Mon, Aug 1st 3:09pm EDT

Cowboys wide receiver James Washington suffered a right leg injury during training camp on Monday afternoon. Washington and cornerback Trevon Diggs both went up for a contested ball down the sideline and Washington ended up on the ground. He limped to the sideline, unable to put any weight on his right leg, and was eventually taken away on a cart. (Michael Gehlken on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Washington joined the Cowboys this offseason and seemed like a top candidate to fill the No. 3 receiver role behind CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup (ACL), but his latest injury could prevent him from doing so. He totaled 98 catches, 1,412 yards, and 10 touchdowns over his last three years in Pittsburgh and is currently being drafted as the WR96 in half-PPR formats.
