Kyler Murray tests positive for COVID-19

by Andersen Pickard | Cardinals Correspondent | Mon, Aug 1st 3:26pm EDT

Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury announced that quarterback Kyler Murray has tested positive for COVID-19, per Darren Urban of the team's official website. He is experiencing minor symptoms and will now be required to miss the next five days of training camp. (Darren Urban on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

It has certainly been a whirlwind training camp for Murray, who signed a massive extension, faced criticism for the now-revoked independent study clause, and is now sidelined with COVID. Still, the former No. 1 pick has plenty of fantasy intrigue ahead of a 2022 season in which he will reunite with former college teammate Marquise Brown. Murray is being drafted as the QB5 after finishing with 3,787 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions through 13 games last year.
