Diontae Johnson's hold-in trending in right direction

by Jordan Epp | Panthers Correspondent | Tue, Aug 2nd 3:27pm EDT

According to Brooke Pryor of ESPN, Pittsburgh Steelers general manager Omar Khan says the front office has been in touch with WR Diontae Johnson's team and wants him to stay in Pittsburgh. (Brooke Pryor on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Johnson finished last season as the WR12 in fantasy, made the Pro Bowl and cleared both 100 catches and 1,000 yards. Now, his next goal is a second contract. With the chaos that has been the 2022 NFL offseason WR market, Johnson is waiting for his turn to sign a big deal. The Steelers haven't handed out a multi-year second contract to a WR since Antonio Brown, and the team already expressed disinterest in giving him $20 million or more a year, seemingly the new going price for a top-tier wideout. A lot can change quickly in the NFL, though, and Johnson's dynasty managers should monitor the situation closely.
