Tyler Conklin catches three balls in win Friday

by Luke Monaldo | Jets Correspondent | Sat, Aug 13th 1:15am EDT

Tyler Conklin caught 3-of-4 targets for 23 yards in New York’s 24-21 preseason win against the Eagles.

Fantasy Impact:

Conklin had been gaining chemistry with Zach Wilson and caught both of his targets from the quarterback for 14 yards before Wilson left with a knee injury in the 1st quarter. Conklin caught one more ball from Mike White for an additional nine yards. Conklin will be the Jets' TE1 to start the season and should be a good security blanket for Joe Flacco or Mike White should Wilson’s MRI reveal his injury to be season-effecting serious. Conklin caught 61 balls for 593 yards and three touchdowns in Minnesota last season and should be the Jets’ most fantasy-relevant right end since Dustin Keller over a decade ago.
