Marcus Mariota throws for 36 yards and rushes for a score on Friday night

Falcons QB Marcus Mariota completed 2-of-2 passes for 36 yards and rushed three times for 23 yards and a touchdown in Atlanta's preseason opener against Detroit.
Fantasy Impact:
While Mariota played merely one drive, he made the most of it, finishing with a QB rating of 118.8 and running for 23 yards plus a score. However, the Falcons certainly have to be pleased with rookie Desmond Ridder's preseason debut, where he passed for 103 yards and two scores, to go with a game-high 59 rushing yards. If Ridder can keep the momentum going, then Mariota may be on a relatively short leash as the starter. Regardless, whichever QB is under center for the Falcons is bound to offer decent QB2 value, thanks to their rock-solid rushing ability.
