Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said Thursday that quarterback Trevor Lawrence would start the second preseason game on Saturday and play into the second quarter against the Steelers. (Jacksonville Jaguars on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Peterson said Lawrence and the rest of the first team offense will play into the second quarter to work on “execution” and “clean up some things.” Lawrence enters his sophomore season working on his second offense in two years in the NFL and third offense in three years if you go back to his Clemson days. Lawrence is also getting used to his new toys, i.e. newcomer Christian Kirk and a healthy Travis Etienne, Jr., and can use all the game-speed reps he can get after an underwhelming rookie season. Lawrence, in his new look offense geared around his strengths, has the potential to have a breakout fantasy season, and make fantasy managers who take the leap of faith in drafting him very happy on their returns.
