The San Francisco 49ers D/ST registered two sacks and one interception in the team's 19-10 Week 1 loss to the Bears.

The 49ers D/ST was pitching a shutout until midway through the third frame, when Justin Fields connected with Dante Pettis for a 51-yard score on a broken play. From then on, the momentum shifted in favor of the Bears, as they put up 19 unanswered points to earn the win. Poor weather conditions took the 49ers offense out of rhythm, resulting in added pressure for the defense. Nevertheless, they should serve as an elite D/ST option for Week 2 against the rebuilding Seahawks.
