DeVonta Smith held without a catch Week 1

by Mike Maher | Eagles Correspondent | Mon, Sep 12th 4:33pm EDT

DeVonta Smith was unable to haul in any of his four targets in Sunday's win over the Lions.

Fantasy Impact:

Smith actually had one catch that was negated by a penalty, but this was an all-around disappointing performance by the second-year WR. Smith should bounce back in Week 2, but fantasy managers will be understandably nervous about starting him after receiving a zero from him this week. While Smith should be fine going forward, there are two causes for concern: 1. A.J. Brown dominated the target share in Week 1, and 2. The Eagles ran the ball 39 times (though 17 of those were Hurts) on Sunday.
