Cooper Rush: Cowboys not expected to trade for QB with Dak Prescott out

by Diego Sandoval | Cowboys Correspondent | Wed, Sep 14th 5:28pm EDT

With the Cowboys not expected to pursue a replacement for Dak Prescott by way of trade, Cooper Rush is in line to be the starting quarterback in Dallas for the near future. (Jeremy Fowler on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Jerry Jones does not believe that Prescott will miss more than four games, but the original reports assumed the starter would be out for 6-to-8 weeks. For now, it looks like Rush is going to be the starting quarterback for however long Prescott misses. When he replaced Prescott in Week 1, the backup completed seven of his 13 attempts for 64 yards while also being sacked twice. With Rush under center, it is safe to say that the upside of all fantasy-relevant players in Dallas takes a big dip.
