Khalil Herbert took a screen pass 25 yards to the end zone in the first half of the 33-14 win over the Patriots on Monday night. It was his only reception of the game, while he added 62 yards on 12 carries.
Herbert and David Montgomery had nearly an even split of the work in the Bears backfield in the run-heavy game script. Herbert continues to look good with the ball in his hands averaging 6.2 yards per carry this season. He should continue to split work with Montgomery which puts both backs on the fringe of starting lineups.
