Jets D/ST dominate Bears in Week 12 win

The Jets’ D/ST allowed 10 points while collecting two sacks and one interception in New York’s 31-10 win over the Bears in Week 12.

Fantasy Impact:

The Jets’ D/ST lucked into not having to face second-year fantasy phenom Justin Fields (shoulder) in Week 12. Instead, they faced Trevor Siemian and easily dominated him, especially in the second half. They were able to bring him down twice for sacks and pick him off once leading to only 10 points allowed. The defense really clamped down after the Bears got up 10-7 40-seconds into the 2nd quarter and did not allow Chicago to score another point in the final 44 minutes and 20 seconds of the game. The shut down coverage of Sauce Gardner and DJ Reed has helped the Jets’ DST ascend into the upper echelon of fantasy DSTs this season and one that should be started in all but possibly the shallowest of formats.
