Baker Mayfield claimed by Los Angeles Rams

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, QB Baker Mayfield has been claimed by the Los Angeles Rams on waivers with QB Matthew Stafford potentially out for the season. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Stafford was placed on IR and could miss the rest of the season, so the Rams took a chance on Mayfield who the Carolina Panthers released after he requested it. Mayfield provides a buy-low opportunity for the Rams who need a QB to continue to compete this season without their own first-round pick. Mayfield has been inconsistent this season, with six touchdowns and six interceptions, but he's 27 and a former No.1 pick in an offense that has been productive in a moderately QB-proof way.
