Trey Flowers in a rush to succeed
by John Aubin | Fri, Sep 18th 4:17pm EDT
Rookie defensive end Trey Flowers has remained anxious to make his NFL debut. The fourth-round pick out of Arkansas had one sack, three quarterback hits and two pressures in three preseason games, but he was held out of the regular-season opener. Despite being listed as a full participant with a knee injury in all three practices in Week 1, a team source said the knee did indeed keep him out against the Steelers, and it wasn’t depth-chart related. Fantasy Impact:
Trey Flowers made a huge impression with his pass rushing skills in exhibition games which included a sack of Aaron Rodgers. Flowers should get an opportunity to play on Sunday against the Bills. If he can carry over his results from the preseason, Flowers could be a sleeper candidate for IDP and also help New England's overall defense.
