Tyjae Spears takes a back seat in season opener

Tyjae Spears rushed for 21 yards on four attempts and caught all four of his targets for 11 yards in the Titans' 24-17 loss to the Bears on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact:
Spears was thoroughly out touched by backfield mate Tony Pollard 19 to 8. Pollard also gained 94 total yards to Spears 32. Spears having fewer yards than Pollard isn't surprising given the touch disparity, but the fact that there was such a large gap between the two despite similar efficiency is surprising. All summer the coaching staff talked as if they viewed the two running backs as a 1A/1B, but it very well could be that Spears is the backup. There is a lot of football left to be played, but it might be best to leave Spears on the bench until his workload increases.
