Fantasy Impact:
The extension will keep Montgomery in the Detroit backfield through the 2027 season. The running back has played a key role alongside Jahmyr Gibbs as part of a two-headed rushing attack for head coach Dan Campbell for a fantasy-friendly Detroit offense.
