Bailey Zappe waived by Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs are waiving quarterback Bailey Zappe ahead of the 53-man roster deadline. (Tom Pelissero on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Zappe is not a typical fourth-round pick in terms of NFL opportunity and college production. After a record-breaking senior season at Western Kentucky, he ended up starting six games in his first two seasons in New England, playing alongside Mac Jones. He started one game in Cleveland in 2024 before heading to Kansas City this offseason. He could return to their practice squad as the emergency third quarterback.
