ESPN's Michael Wagaman believes that San Francisco 49ers QB Blaine Gabbert has an "edge" over Colin Kaepernick for the starting quarterback job entering training camp but the beat writer suggests that the latter "could make a strong push" if he can remain healthy. (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

The San Francisco 49ers have a plethora of question marks surrounding their team as they begin the Chip Kelly era in the Bay Area, but perhaps the biggest mystery is at the quarterback position. Colin Kaepernick remains on the team after an offseason of attempting to find his way out of San Francisco, but he is expected to be one of the highest-paid backups in the NFL as Blaine Gabbert is the favorite to win the job. Gabbert appeared to rejuvenate his stalled career last season with the 49ers. He played in eight games in 2015 and threw for 2,031 yards, 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions. In the upcoming fantasy football campaign, shy away from whoever emerges as the starting signal caller in San Francisco as their talent surrounding the quarterbacks is full of unknown commodities.
