Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon (quad) was placed on the non-football injury (NFI) list on Tuesday after suffering a quad injury working out on his own according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Gordon is only expected to miss a "couple of weeks" of action due to his ailment. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Josh Gordon's recent quad injury is not expected to be serious and should not hinder his return to the field in Week 5 against the Patriots. Gordon should garner moderate upside in 2016 due to his connection with former Baylor teammate and current Browns' quarterback Robert Griffin III. Although Gordon's role remains uncertain, he should be selected in the upcoming fantasy football drafts and stashed for his return in the event he has another outstanding season as he did in 2013.
