Gary Barnidge could be 'limited' in camp

by Anthony Cervino | Tue, Jul 26th 7:22pm EDT

Cleveland Browns TE Gary Barnidge (sports hernia) passed his physical and has been medically cleared for training camp according to beat writer Mary Kay Cabot. Cabot added that Barnidge could "still be limited at the start of camp" that opens on July 28 for veteran players. (Mary Kay Cabot on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Gary Barnidge is entering his eighth NFL season as the starting tight end of the Cleveland Browns and coming off of his best statistical year as a pro. In 2015, Barnidge unexpectedly caught 79 targets for 1,043 yards and nine touchdowns with the bulk of his production occurring while Josh McCown was under center. In the upcoming fantasy football campaign, beware when selecting Barnidge too early as he struggled with any other quarterback not named McCown last year and also that 2015 was his only season where he caught more than 13 passes and two touchdowns in his seven-year career.
