Nick Foles finally released by Rams

The Los Angeles Rams have released QB Nick Foles on Wednesday. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo, Foles is not "subject to waivers" due to his "release" designation by the club. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

In the wake of Nick Foles' release, there is an experienced quarterback on the free agent market entering the training camp portion of the offseason. There had been rumors flurrying throughout the offseason of the Rams would, in fact, part ways with Foles, but it was never set in stone on when it would happen. Foles could be targeted by the Dallas Cowboys and New York Jets as both teams are in need of an experienced veteran signal caller.
