Newly acquired Detroit Lions WR Anquan Boldin worked with the first-team offense on the first day of training camp alongside Golden Tate and Marvin Jones on Saturday. Boldin is expected to be Detriot's slot receiver in 2016. (Mlive.com)
Fantasy Impact:
Anquan Boldin is entering his 14th NFL season in 2016 and will likely emerge as Detroit's slot receiver. The 36-year-old wideout appears to have some gas left in the tank and could become a valuable asset to the Lions in the wake of Calvin Johnson's retirement. Boldin adds veteran leadership on and off the field and any in-game production is considered a tremendous plus. For fantasy football purposes, Boldin is a draftable asset who should be selected in the latter rounds and stashed on the bench for later in the season in case the injury bug rears its ugly head.
