“He’s a guy that’s a part of our plans,” O’Neil talking about safety Tartt. “I’m excited to get him out there and get it rolling, because we haven’t really been able to utilize some of those packages because he hasn’t practiced. And then when he’s back, that allows us to do some things with Eric and allows us to do some new things pressure-wise.” (Sacramento Bee)

Fantasy Impact:

Tartt participated in his first practice of the summer after being on the non-football injury list with a leg issue up until Sunday. The second-year safety put together an impressive rookie campaign grading positively over the course of the season in Pro Football Focus' grading system. He and fourth-year free safety Eric Reid will man the back end of the field and be pivotal cogs in the 49ers' defense if they hope to become fantasy relevant as well as competing within the extremely competitive NFC West.
