Matthew Stafford

Matthew Stafford often hurried, but effective, against Bengals

In a little more than a quarter's worth of action on Thursday night, Matt Stafford completed eight of eleven passes for 113 yards.

Fantasy Impact:

Stafford looked sharp, again, despite taking a few hits and a sack as Cincinnati's defensive line hassled Detroit's o-line most of the night. Although he didn't convert any Touchdown passes, there is good news for Lions fans here as Stafford looked very competent and productive running Jim Bob Cooter's no huddle, a wrinkle added since last season. As far as fantasy owners are concerned, it's probably worth considering Stafford a low-end QB1 and desirable backup/bye week fill-in since, between his passing acumen and receiving talents Golden Tate and Marvin Jones, Detroit should have no trouble piling up yards this year.
