Ben Roethlisberger expects to play in Friday's preseason contest

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports that Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger plans to play in Friday's preseason game against the New Orleans Saints. (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

Roethlisberger went on to say, "I wouldn't mind getting hit once. Maybe after the ball is gone, just a little tap from a defensive guy." Clearly, Pittsburgh's signal-caller is eager to get on the field and develop some in-game chemistry with his offensive counterparts before the regular season kicks off. Since his health is crucial to the Steelers' success on offense, Roethlisberger likely won't play for an extended period of time on Friday, but it will be nice to see the star QB take some reps in a preseason contest that is considered a regular season dress rehearsal.
