Jaylon Smith a 'lock' to begin season on NFI list

Dallas Cowboys beat writer David Helman believes that LB Jaylon Smith (knee) is a "lock" to begin the 2016 season on the NFI list. (David Helman on Twitter)

Helman is also suggesting that the Smith will likely be headed to injured reserve after the six-weeks expire while on the NFI list in the regular season. The second-round pick is not expected to take the field until the 2017 campaign barring any further setbacks with his knee.
