Logan Thomas is released as Giants cut down to 53

Logan Thomas was released by the Giants today as the team cut down their roster from 75 to 53. The third string QB struggled to show consistency in the preseason and couldn't overcome Ryan Nassib to move up the depth chart. It was unlikely that the Giants would keep three quarterbacks and it was proven with this move. (Josina Anderson on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Thomas' own consistency issues prevented him from seriously challenging a seemingly regressed Ryan Nassib for the primary backup QB spot on the team. His run with the Giants is over for now but with Nassib in a contract year, it will be interesting to see what the Giants do next offseason.
