Tyler Gaffney gets waived by Patriots

Tyler Gaffney was waived/injured by the Patriots on Saturday, Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald reports. If Gaffney goes unclaimed, he'll be placed on injured reserve Sunday. This will likely mark the third consecutive season he's spent on IR. (Jeff Howe on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
It looked like earlier in the preseason that Gaffney had a lock on a roster spot and was battling LeGarrette Blount for the early down back role. But he could not distinguish himself and ended up with a foot injury.
