Troymaine Pope claimed by Jets
by Derek Norton | Sun, Sep 4th 3:05pm EDT
Troymaine Pope didn't make the final cut in Seattle, but he was claimed off waivers by the Jets on Sunday. (Bob Condotta in The Seattle Times)
Fantasy Impact:
The undrafted rookie led the Seahawks in rushing in the preseason with 162 yards on 24 carries, and likely would have joined Seattle's practice squad had he gone unclaimed. He joins another crowded depth chart in New York, but the Jets must have liked what they saw from Pope in the preseason to give him a roster spot. Until his role (if any) reveals itself, keep him on your league's waiver wire.
