Jacoby Brissett suffers thumb injury

by Anthony Cervino | Patriots Correspondent | Fri, Sep 23rd 3:06pm EDT

New England Patriots QB Jacoby Brissett (thumb) suffered a thumb injury in Week 3's victory over the Houston Texans on Thursday night. Conflicting reports suggest that the injury is a sprain while the other states that it is a torn ligament. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

There is no word on the severity of Brissett's injury, but NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is suggesting that it is not "deemed serious." If Brissett is sidelined and Jimmy Garopplo is not yet ready to return in Week 4, New England will be forced to start their third different signal caller during Tom Brady's suspension.
