Josh McCown out 2-to-4 weeks

by Anthony Cervino | Sun, Sep 25th 7:21am EDT

Cleveland Browns QB Josh McCown (shoulder) is expected to miss the next 2-to-4 weeks as he recovers from a "painful strain and hairline crack in his non-throwing shoulder" according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

McCown tried to "harness" the injured shoulder and play in Week 3, but the team said "no" according to reports. The Browns will start Cody Kessler in McCown's absence against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. Kessler should be avoided across all fantasy formats as he may not be fully acclimated to the NFL's game speed and is without Corey Coleman and Josh Gordon at the wide receiver position.
