Tyrod Taylor produces in the run game

by Mike Mahern | Jets Correspondent | Sun, Sep 25th 5:31pm EDT

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor had his second straight week with solid fantasy production in his team's week 3 home victory against the Arizona Cardinals. Taylor finished the game with just 119 yards passing, completing 14 of his 25 attempts, with no passing touchdowns and one interception. He compensated for his underwhelming numbers through the air with 76 yards on the ground on nine attempts, including a rushing touchdown.

Fantasy Impact:

The game serves as something of a microcosm of Taylor's potential as a fantasy QB - His skill as a rusher serves to provide a degree of insurance against a poor passing performance, as he had in this game. While that insurance raises his weekly points floor, until/unless he begins to demonstrate more consistency week to week, his value remains that of an injury replacement and/or bye week fill-in for fantasy purposes.
