Efficiency of Jameis Winston drops rapidly when attempts increase

Tampa Bay has ran 218 offensive plays from scrimmage, the most in the NFL through the first three games of the season. The team has become increasingly reliant on quarterback Jameis Winston, as 67.4 percent of their snaps have been passing plays.

Fantasy Impact:

Jameis Winston shares the league-lead in touchdown passes with Drew Brees at eight. Only the more frequently Winston throws the ball, the less efficient he performs. Winston has a career rating of 80.4 on his first 10 throws of a game, 83.7 on his second 10 attempts, then jumps up to 105.0 on attempts 21-30 before crashing to a 62.1 rating on attempts 31 or higher. Through three games, Winston has averaged 47.3 passes a game, which has produced mixed results as he has thrown six interceptions, tied for the second most in the NFL.
